Healthy Homes

Presented by Reimagined Habitat

Our relationship with our homes has changed since Covid tumbled many of us in to the now accepted work from home arrangement. We spend 90% of our life indoors and now, more than ever before, we expect our homes to multitask. To function as shelter, office space, school, yoga studio, kitchen and myriad other functions. We all want our homes to be comfortable, healthy and calm and  now there is increasing scientific evidence that our homes affect both our physical and mental health much more than was previously believed.

These hybrid expectations of, and extra time in, our homes lead Canberra based Passive House Designer and Sustainable Design Specialist Michael Drage to explore the questions "Are our homes healthy, comfortable and calm? What can we do to make them more so? How can biophilic and other design principles help your respiratory and mental health? And can I do this whilst also being more energy efficient?” Along the way he will give some simple ‘tips and tricks’ to apply to your own residence.
